the tripod is not properly leveled, the azimuth movement
with not be level, the altitude movement will not be plumb.
And you wondered why your alignment and GOTO are not accurate.
Most of the bad alignment and GOTO are caused by improperly
leveled tripods and telescope. They told you to
get everything set up before it gets dark. But what
if you have to do the leveling the dark.
Why can't you level in
the dark This is because you cannot see in the
dark. OK, you have a flash light. Great,
so you have one hand to hold the flash light, the other
hand to hold the level. You need at least
one more hand to do the necessary adjustment.
Or another person. Or hold the flash light with
you mouth.
Now you can level your
tripod and telescope in the dark with my Illuminate
Bubble Level. How does this Illuminated Bubble
Level works The illuminated Bubble Level has a
detachable Ultra Bright LED mini flashlight. You
turn the flashlight on and it shines right on the the
bubble level vial! You can do leveling in the
dark! It shines right thought the vial and does
not interfere with your vision. No hands, MOM.
This level uses a 1 1/4" long, bubble level
vial which is ultra sensitive and accurate.
The Ultra Bright LED is very bright, you can see the
bright LED light even under sun light. It is a
very good flash light itself. Since there is no
filament to break the Ultra Bright LED will last many
many years. The LED "light bulb" will
not break even if you drop it on the ground. You
need a flash light close by the telescope so you can
see and adjust other setting anyway. The mini
flash light has a ON/OFF switch AND push on membrane
switch.
